Smooth and subtle, Maker's Mark is bourbon with a distinguished history. Created by Bill Samuels Sr, it took six years of trial and error to perfect the recipe - a corn, barley and wheat combination, that makes this whisky so special.
Maker’s Mark is aged to taste, not time.This usually takes six to seven years and is determined by our Master Distiller and expert tasting panel. The recipe is not a secret: 70% Corn, 14% Malted Barley and 16% Red Winter Wheat.
Maker’s 46 adds French oak staves into a barrel of fully matured Maker’s Mark, allowing caramelised wood sugars to intensify – creating a bold vanilla, oak and caramel flavour. Made in cooler temperatures allowing the bourbon to mature more slowly. After a few months with flavours at the perfect balance, we open the barrels and bottle the bourbon.
