We are a sponsor of Best Bar None Scotland, an accreditation and award scheme which promotes a safe and vibrant night time economy with a vision to have welcoming and socially responsible venues across the country.
Edrington-Beam Suntory UK also provides funding towards Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP), a scheme designed to reduce underage drinking in local communities across the UK using a unique model which brings together local retailers, licensees, trading standards, police, health services, education providers and other local stakeholders.
Responsible drinking and alcohol promotion
We are committed to promoting the responsible consumption of our brands and we actively support Drinkaware, which provides independent alcohol advice, information and tools to help people make better choices about their drinking.
Edrington-Beam Suntory UK is a signatory to The Portman Group, which regulates the promotion and packaging of alcoholic drinks sold or marketed in the UK. We are proud to support The Portman Group and adhere to its alcohol marketing code.
Our managing director, Mark Riley, sits on the board of the Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA), which represents over 345 companies producing, importing and selling wines and spirits.
We actively support the Scottish Licenced Trade Association (SLTA) which represents all sectors of the licenced trade in Scotland including publicans, hoteliers, restaurateurs, late night entertainment venues, clubs and licensed grocers.
